Full-Time Pediatric Nurse Manager
Highly regarded pediatric practice is seeking a compassionate Registered nurse who has experience working with children and working along clinical staff in a hospital or primary care setting. Our three board-certified pediatricians and seasoned medical staff have been providing care to children in the Washington, DC and Maryland area for more than 50 years. Because we are a small practice, we’re able to provide personal care for our patients. The ideal candidate should be reliable, punctual, friendly, organized, have excellent people skills, be able to multi-task and work independently. We take care of children from birth through college, so we really get to know families over time.
Job Description
Responsibilities include overseeing and providing patient care in the office: phone advice, taking vital signs, administering vaccines, urine catheterization, removing stitches, mild burn care, vision/hearing, taking phone messages, faxing/photocopying and related tasks. The RN orders and/or supervises vaccine, medical and lab inventories. The RN communicates with patients and families to address any concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner. The RN is a liaison between the physicians and staff and strives to foster teamwork amongst the entire office. The RN coordinates with physicians and the Business Manager to facilitate excellent patient care.
Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
RN schedule: FLEX schedule: 4 days per week and 1 Saturday per month.
Requirements:
- Pediatric primary care experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Socially perceptive and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- RN license in the state of Maryland
- CPR certification
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
