The purpose of Let’s Talk is to create an opportunity for evangelical leaders to talk about their pain, disappointments, and triumphs, as it relates to race relations as well as come up with practical solutions to the crisis. National Unity Weekend is an initiative to establish racial unity amongst churches and communities across America.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of prioritizing, planning, confirming assigned resources, deliverables, and developing timelines for Let’s Talk & the Unity Weekend Initiative. Must be a self-starter, well-connected, creative, Christ-driven individual with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment, strong theological background, identify and resolve problems. Must be able to communicate effectively with pastor’s, Christian leaders and within a matrixed organization including outside vendors to accomplish project goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop project critical paths and timelines.
- Responsible for building strong relationships both internally and externally while overseeing the development and implementation of strategies.
- Act as the liaison and interact with community members and organizations.
- Lead ongoing team status meetings and update necessary reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Driving processes as the internal systems expert
- Contribute to ongoing process refinements and ways of working to improve the operational efficiency of creative operations and creative teams.
- Manage routing, proofing, and approvals, including review/check of revisions, and final delivery of project deliverable.
- Alert internal team to project issues/concerns
- Manage media plans to ensure media assets are completed to specification, routed, and approved; coordinate and approve insertion orders; upload files to media partners by the media deadline.
- Source appropriate vendors for project deliverables, including necessary paperwork for fulfillment.
- Weekly projects status reports
- Create and manage a master calendar with a schedule to identity when each task will be performed and communicate the schedule to team members.
- Resolve issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
- Monitor project progress provide resolutions to potential project delays and communicate project status to leadership on a timely basis.
- Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved.
- Collaborate across all teams to map out how to bring visions to life in an organized and structured manner
- Create project timelines and ensure the team stays within project timelines.
- Look for continuous improvement strategies and build upon current processes.
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years of professional experience relating to business, communications and media; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A certified Project Management Professional is desirable.
CORE COMPENTENCIES
- Ministry background preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional project management experience and event planning, preferably with an in-house marketing team or creative agency
- Experience with Project Management based software.
- Expert organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task
- Strong problem solving/analytical skills, time management.
- Clear concise communication is paramount and transparency.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines, while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to seek harmony under challenging circumstances by communicating positively with team members, vendors, clients, and leadership.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This job operates in a professional office environment.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
- Remote Work: This position may offer the flexibility to work remotely, allowing employees to perform their duties from a home office as required.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL: Travel as required.
