This position is responsible for the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.

Conducts on and offsite investigations in the areas of organized retail crime, financial crimes, internal theft, and major crimes by performing specialized investigative functions (for example, stationary & mobile surveillance); gathering evidence; monitoring electronic surveillance; participating with law enforcement operations; and facilitating and executing merchandise recoveries.
Ensures accuracy in investigation and case reporting by reviewing, entering and verifying investigative reports in the case management system; identifying training needs; and developing and delivering training on case reporting.
Establishes and maintains internal and external relationships by participating in joint retail and law enforcement coalitions; participating in industry trade groups (for example, International Association of Property Crime Investigators, International Association of Financial Crime Investigators); and collaborating with regional and market teams on asset protection risk mitigation initiatives.
Obtains prosecution and court ordered restitution by presenting case facts and evidence to law enforcement or prosecutorial authorities; managing cases from initiation to final disposition and sentencing; and providing court testimony.

Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring an overnight stay. Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays. Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites during the workday.
Work Environment
Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position.
Moves through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise or supplies, storage areas, and closets. Moves over sloping, uneven surfaces such as the parking lot, building perimeter, receiving bays, sections of the facility which have temporary cracks, or areas under repair. Moves over slippery surfaces in the work area as well as other areas that may become slippery during inclement weather. Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions. Works overnight as required.
