Position Title: Uhelp (Crisis Support) Shift Supervisor

Students, parents and administrators are all searching for new solutions. Uwill’s mission is to expand access to mental health services on college campuses by providing technology-enabled telehealth therapy, crisis connection, and on-demand wellness content.
As part of the Uwill team, the Uhelp shift supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of Uhelp, provide clinical support to the Uhelp team, and work collaboratively across the organization to deliver support for our college students across the country through ensuring clinical quality.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee Uhelp call queue, Uhelp channel, and Homebase chat to ensure prompt time to answer, reliable Uhelp counselor participation, schedule adherence, and clinical support for the Uhelp team in-the-moment
- Handles Uhelp crisis connections as necessary to maintain service levels during volume surges, staffing shortages, and/or when otherwise needed to maintain service levels (25-50% of time when you are on shift)
- Complete case management tasks, such as, WPO call report entries, Uhelp notification process, and care coordination with the appropriate institution
- Provide clinical case support to the Uhelp counselor community in one-to-one, and group settings
- Support the quality assurance, provider compliance and client safety programs across Uwill
- Support and facilitate clinical onboarding and training of new Uhelp counselors.
- Collects and manages data essential for measuring improvement, opportunities for change, and clinical quality
- Support the Uwill team through offering clinical thought-leadership and collaborating with the clinical affairs team.
- Work with key stakeholders to develop, review, modify and maintain policies, procedures, and clinical practice guidelines
- On call duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Master’s degree in clinical counseling, counseling psychology, or clinical social work.
- 2 years’ experience in the delivery of mental healthcare in a setting in which both trauma-informed care and crisis assessment are a focus.
- Experience assessing the college-age population and awareness of mental health issues common to the population is preferred.
- Experience providing supervision to counselors regarding acute clinical presentations, risk assessments and management, and complex cases.
- Therapy license required in any US state, preferably with the ability to independently practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of behavioral health and crisis intervention services including assessment, stabilization skills, and related case management responsibilities including accessing referral resources within an institution or community.
Special Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues on a team, and experience with colleges or universities and community groups is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, and listening communication skills
- Familiarity with the principles of diversity, equity and anti-oppression concepts, especially as they apply to higher education
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking skills, use of sound judgment
- Proven ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people of various ages and backgrounds student developmental needs, nationality, culture, faith/religion, language difference, ability differences, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression
- Possess the ability to work with a wide range of individuals presenting behavioral health concerns with special expertise and experience working with those in crisis
- Knowledge of DSM-V diagnosis and familiarity with full range of treatment options and mental health service delivery systems
- Familiarity with research on mental health needs of college students including suicide prevention and trauma-informed care
- Awareness of community mental health resources and how to make health plan triage referrals
- Understanding of university disciplinary systems and relevant legal issues
- Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information
- Comfort with technology and ability to learn new software systems
