Our Community Center Supervisor provides oversight of front-end and community center operations while overseeing the front desk and janitorial departments. This role works closely in conjunction with other departments to facilitate a welcoming experience for residents and guests.
About the Community:
Mountain Falls is an established community located in Pahrump, Nevada, that includes more than 1,400 homes to date and is set to expand to 2,800 homes at build-out. This community offers luxurious living an hour west of Las Vegas and features an 18-hole golf course, two resort-style pools, a play pool, a signature Grill Room, an upscale fitness center, social rooms, horseshoe pits, bocce ball, tennis, pickleball courts, fire pits, and serene natural spaces. Included within the Mountain Falls community is the Ovation HOA age-qualified sub-association. This association offers an exclusive amenity center and pool exclusively for the 55+ community.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations and scheduling of front desk and janitorial departments
- Determine staffing needs and coordinate with other department supervisors to create employee schedules that ensure adequate front desk / janitorial support coverage is available
- Maintain inventory/supply needs and submit order requests
- Coordinate cross training between departments to ensure that established guidelines and procedures are met
- Ensure a clean environment in all work areas is maintained
- Create monthly gym schedule for open play, clubs and events
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and submit any necessary work orders
- Manage deposits/process refunds for facility rentals and keep accurate records in an Excel spreadsheet
- Prepare and conduct quarterly staff meetings
- Ensure that the cash drawer each shift is accurately documented and that proper cash handling and POS system processes are being upheld
- Perform additional department-related duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
- Associates’ Degree or 2 years’ of related experience
- Supervisory experience and time management skills
- Personable demeanor with a dedication to customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong working knowledge of computers and POS systems
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, particularly high heat, and to walk long distances to perform physical inspections
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
