Job Summary
The Concessions staff member is responsible for assisting patrons at the concessions stand serving food and beverages to patrons. Experience working with the public, strong organizational and communication skills, and previous theatre experience a plus.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to patrons
- Greet and service patrons at the registers, taking orders, relaying orders and accepting payments, handling cash, debit and credit cards
- Prepare/serve food and beverages such as hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, fountain soda, beer, and wine
- Ensure all cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed before, during, and after productions
- Resolving any patrons complaints/issues arising during productions with guidance from the House Manager
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work nights and weekends with occasional weekday afternoons
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact in a sensitive, courteous and confident way
- Ability to lift 30lbs

BOX OFFICE/CASHIER

Job Summary
Box Office personnel to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant welcoming experience to all Polk Theatre patrons. At the direction of the operations manager they will run box office for live performances, films and other events, selling tickets, troubleshoot seating issues and provide information and assistance for all aspects ticketing and seating. The ideal candidate will have a love of theatre, ability to work independently, but also as part of a dedicated team. Experience working with the public, use of ticketing software, strong organizational and communication skills, and previous theatre experience is a plus.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons through a safe, clean and friendly environment
- Assist patrons at box office with ‘will call’ and resolve any ticketing issues/problems
- Be prepared to answer questions regarding events and all aspects of ticketing
- Must become familiar with layout of theatre seating
- Assist with set up, closing out and reconciling box office at the end of the event, restocking
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons
- Resolving any patron’s complaints/issues arising during productions with guidance from the House Manager
- Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed
Qualifications/Education
- 18 years of age or older
- Experience with computer programs, and other office equipment including spreadsheets, online sales (ticketing software a plus)
- Ability to interact in a sensitive, courteous and confident way
- A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year minimum customer service experience

Education and Experience

- 1 year minimum of customer service experience

This position is part time and requires flexibility with hours (nights/weekends/some afternoons)
