This primary purpose of this position will be responsible for being the primary point of entry contact at the Family Success Center, the administration center for visitors, guests and Maggie’s Place moms and children. In addition, this person will identify and screen pregnant and parenting homeless women who meet the criteria to live at one of Maggie’s Place homes
Responsibilities:
Front Desk/Lobby
● Welcome visitors and clients in a warm and supportive manner.
● Maintain the front Lobby
● Answer any Maggie’s Place info emails as assigned
● Provides customer service to mom’s in need of any of Maggie’s Place services (food pantry, donations closet, laundry, bus passes, etc.) and maintain appropriate documentation needed per visit.
● Answers phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
● Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, emailing, etc.
● Supports the team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
● Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level of the Donation Closet/Food Pantry.
● Additional projects or tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Programs, Director of Program Services or CEO.
I*ntake*
● Coordinate initial phone inquiries phone for screening of individuals experiencing homelessness using industry knowledge, experience and training to assess if Maggie's Place is the appropriate housing program for the individual.
● Coordinate in-person interview assessment that accommodates applicant's schedule as well as current location.
● Gather pertinent information and reviews applications for completeness and eligibility during the interview process.
● Review application with the interview panel to determine whether the applicant is fit for the program.
● Conduct outreach to ensure all beds are filled at each house
● Exhibit thorough understanding of program eligibility, expectations and services offered. Demonstrate experience and competency in working in a culturally diverse setting, and an understanding of the intersectional nature of homelessness, poverty, abuse, disability, substance abuse and mental illness.
● Maintain accurate and consistent collection, documentation and organization of pre-admissions assessment and corresponding referral information.
● Effectively and efficiently communicate active referral information with the Interview panel.
● Attend Program Department meetings.
Qualifications
● High school diploma or Equivalent.
● Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
● Must have effective organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, time-management and analytical skills.
● Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
● Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
● Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to interact with trauma informed language

Additional Requirements:
● Available some evenings and weekends.
● Must be able to comply and meet the national and state criminal background check, national sex offender registry.
● A Motor Vehicle Records check as required to dive any Maggie’s Place vehicles.
● Ability to lift 30 lbs is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
