JOB TITLE: Medical Assistant
** May need to travel to Lansdale office 1-2 times a week based off the needs of the organization**
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review daily and weekly schedules and prepare electronic chart for appointments
- Prepare exam rooms
- Room patients for providers including:
Review medical and surgical history
Review Medications and allergies
Vital signs
- Clean and disinfect rooms
- Assist with in office procedures
- Explain in office procedures and obtain consents
- Collect Specimen for testing performed in office, prepare requisition, complete notes, and take to drop box.
- Answer triage phones
- Notify patients with results and messages from the providers
- Complete medication authorizations
- Inventory and track medication samples
- Schedule and prepare patients for small bowel capsule endoscopy
- Travel between two office locations
- Other duties as assigned by Practice Manager, Site Supervisor or Team Lead
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required, Medical Assistant training or relevant experience
EXPERIENCE: Prior medical assisting and EMR experience required
REQUIREMENTS: Adherence to all policies and procedures, including confidentiality, safety, performance, attendance, punctuality, and personal grooming and appearance. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to speak and write in a professional, courteous, and concise manner. Accept and utilize feedback and constructive criticism.

- Excellent interpersonal, typing, and organizational skills
- Excellent use of computers, printers, telephones, fax machines, and other office equipment
- Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, problem solve, and prioritize responsibilities
- Work well both independently and as a team member
- Demonstrate efficient use of time and ensure work is accurate and of high quality
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, physicians, and the public
- Successfully manage interactions with challenging or difficult people
