Job Overview: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and performing material handling, data entry, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the warehouse and operations teams. Must be an independent self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and handle frequently changing priorities. As a Warehouse Associate I, you must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Shift details: The position requires the ability to work full-time Monday-Friday with the occasional night or weekend work as needed. Occasional travel may be required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Operate equipment safely and competently such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Ensure that all the materials are safely and securely packed and labeled for staging.
- Scan labels to ensure customers’ assets are tracked accurately and timely.
- Unload and load material from delivery trucks with forklift or reach truck.
- Perform tagging, wrapping, and storing materials onto racking.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up interior and external building for events and activities as needed.
- Drive to vendors or work sites to deliver, pick up, RMA material.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Assist with cleaning the interior and external buildings.
- Maintain clean, safe, free of hazards and orderly environment, and adhere to all Company and industry (i.e., OSHA) standards/regulations.
- Conduct business in an ethical and trustworthy manner at all times.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions/direction from Warehouse Manager to execute tasks accurately, timely and safely.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to be at work and on time.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel; and other related software.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- At least (2+) years of warehouse-related experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and client-facing skills.
- Effective multitasking skills in a high volume, fast paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and competently such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to drive to vendors or work sites to deliver, pick up, and RMA material.
- A valid California driver's license and vehicle insurance. May be required to use a personal vehicle as business transportation. Drive time could be more than 60% of the day.
