Job Title: Retail Sales Associate (Wine and Liquor Store)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our team at a bustling wine and liquor store with high foot traffic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine and liquor, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers in selecting the perfect wine and liquor products, and maximizing sales opportunities. This position requires strong product knowledge, a friendly and approachable demeanor, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience.
Provide expert guidance and recommendations to customers on wine and liquor selections based on their preferences, occasion, and budget.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the store's wine and liquor inventory, including information on different brands, varietals, regions, and pricing.
Assist customers with locating products and answer any questions or concerns they may have regarding wine and liquor selections, pairings, and serving suggestions.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's point-of-sale (POS) system.
Upsell and cross-sell additional products to maximize sales opportunities.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate any restocking needs to the management team.
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.
Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and promotions to provide customers with up-to-date information.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a retail sales role, preferably in a wine and liquor store or a related industry.
In-depth knowledge and appreciation of wine and liquor products, including different varietals, regions, production methods, and tasting notes.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
