COCKTAIL SERVER
Reports To: Bar Manager Department: Pool Bar
Classification: Part Time Division: Hotel Food & Beverage
JOB SUMMARY:
The Cocktail Server is responsible for the service of beverages in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.
POSITION AUTHORITY:
The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
POSITION GUIDELINES:
Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Check and maintain proper set-up and cleanliness of service station frequently

Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain all specials and promotions

Take orders, reciting selection of all house and premium brands as requested, requires memorization of all available drinks

Inputs orders into POS system to inform bartender an order was made

Replenishes beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction

Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma preferred

Prior server experience preferred

Must obtain TABC & Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-
Must have knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic brands

Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of drinks
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to remain on feet throughout the shift

Ability to work continually in a confined space
