The State Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager based at our Welch and Rushe Division in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Welch and Rushe have been in operation for over 50 years as a full-service mechanical company specializing in comprehensive HVAC and plumbing construction services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage project plans, ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks to maintain project trajectory and quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections to ensure compliance.
- Manage submittals and RFIs through Procore and track all material/ equipment that has been procured.
- Manage project milestones, identify delays, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and provide updates on project status.
- Organize and maintain accurate project documentation for easy reference.
- Cultivate positive client relationships by addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 1- 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in the mechanical engineering or construction industry. (Internships considered).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Procore and Sage.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
