Are you passionate about logistics and customer service? Join our team as a Freight Forwarder International Customer Service Specialist! Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely movement of freight in compliance with international laws and regulations. From route planning to pricing and customer service, you'll play a crucial role in our operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounts and communication with internal and external customers, handling complaints and inquiries with professionalism.
- Expedite, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of shipments to ensure smooth transit.
- Assign tariff classifications and route shipments by air, rail, or truck according to regulatory requirements.
- Process freight documentation for ocean and air import shipments.
- Utilize carriers to efficiently move domestic and international freight, optimizing costs and ensuring compliance.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, promptly addressing customer needs and meeting commitments.
- Adhere to TSA/KSMS and other regulatory compliance standards.
Competencies:
- Experience in logistics and freight forwarding.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and overcome operational challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively in professional settings.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical and computer skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
