Position Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer is experienced working on projects of various mediums with multiple engineering disciplines and can perform tasks independently. May lead small-medium projects with supervision. Frequent inter-organizational and customer contact. This role is the primary producer of mechanical deliverables for the project scope as assigned by the Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Perform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables
· Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
· Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
· Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project progress reporting and schedule requirements
· Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule
· Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required
· Work is highly independent
· Prepares, reviews, and approves mechanical equipment and piping calculations, requisitions,
lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs
Education/Licenses/Certifications/Skills:
· 7+ Years Experience
· Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering
· Professional Engineer licensure preferred
· Extensive knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering principles and practices
· Advanced proficiency in mechanical engineering software and tools
· Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, layouts, and specifications
· Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices
· Ability to develop and implement mechanical engineering standards and guidelines
· Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal
· High level of personal integrity
· Strong relationship capabilities
· Proficient in both written and spoken English
