PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop customized SCADA and PLC software applications using the GAMP design model for capital equipment valued over $1M.
2. Independently execute peer reviews for safety and quality of the product.
3. Produce control system design documents and FDA validation documentation per GAMP guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry.
4. Consultation with suppliers relating to sourcing, specifying and operating instrumentation and control equipment.
5. Work as key member of Project Team, including cost/variance reporting
6. Ability to simultaneously execute multiple complex projects
7 Management of engineering consultants and contractors
8. Support field engineers, test technicians, and end users on controls/process related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Consistently observe and promote SHEQ site requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s in Engineering Discipline with 10-12 years of related work experience
2. Expert in PID control loops, servo controls, and variable frequency drives.
3. Well organized with ability to schedule own workload.
4. Strong experience as technical liaison with vendors/customer in both written and verbal forms.
5. Strong Experience with iFix, Visual Basic for Applications, SyTech XLReporter, PLC ladder logic programming for Rockwell products, Siemens, and associated hardware.
6. Extensive knowledge of communication networks e.g. TCP/IP, EthernetI/P, Profibus
7. Understanding of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL, MS Access).
8. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
9. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/Server operating systems including security policy settings.
10. Knowledge of machine design, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, motor controls and aseptic process machine production.
11. Strong troubleshooting skills.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
1. Overtime as needed.
2. Travel as needed, national and international.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
