SUMMARY OF POSITION
Associates in this position are responsible for providing customer service to our clients and vendors through professional and effective email, telephone and in-person communications. The other primary responsibility is supporting the Home Maintenance Division with project coordination tasks, such as gathering subcontractor estimates and scheduling work for smaller projects. Candidates require knowledge of the construction industry to effectively assist our clients working with maintenance division personnel to manage daily schedules, document service call details and initiate follow up projects. Candidates must be highly organized and demonstrate an enthusiasm for working with people, including colleagues, clients, vendors and industry partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide courteous and effective client customer service in a heavy volume environment.
- Receive and document client questions and issues – share with appropriate resources to resolve promptly.
- Serve as liaison and resource to clients and subcontractors.
- Determine and/or gather costs for change orders and provide the information to clients for approval.
- Prepare and distribute purchase orders for materials and subcontractor work.
- Provide clients with product knowledge, consulting with colleagues and trade partners, as needed
- Maintain positive vendor relationships
- Attend weekly staff meetings for project feedback and updates
- Perform related duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be able to work both independently and cohesively with colleagues to prepare accurate documentation and assist with keeping projects on schedule. Customer support experience with knowledge of the construction industry and project coordinating experience are required to succeed in this position. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer service in the construction industry. Project management experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong customer service skills with knowledge of English (spelling, punctuation, grammar, format and tone) and of office practices & procedures.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and to identify opportunities for process improvements. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily office and showroom environment. When attending meetings on a project site, protective clothing and shoes are required.
COMPENSATION
Based on skill level: $50,000 - $65,000
