Responsibilities
● Execute validation and performance characterization by developing and executing comprehensive test plans for each program at every phase.
● Work closely with design teams and ensure alignment of validation and characterization plans. Define priorities and validation execution plan.
● Validate the power regulation circuits (SMPS, LDO, power gates), signal integrity, power integrity, protocol compliance, audio, sensors, co-existing, and eco-system interoperability.
● Provide expert root cause and corrective action support to resolve any and all issues found
● Track validation progress, present data, draft whitepapers, and represent status at design reviews.
● Communicate status to all stakeholders and drive closure of all issues uncovered from validation tests in every phase of the project.
Required Qualifications
● 4+ years of experience along with a BS/MS in Digital System Design/Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
● Experience with setup and execution of automated or manual testing systems including experience in conceptualizing the experiments or DOE
● Experience with precision testing (RF, Analog, small-signal etc.)
● Experience troubleshooting designs and the instrumentation impact on measurement.
● Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence Orcad, Altium or equivalent.
● Experience with use of standard electrical engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and function generators
● Experience validating High Speed buses (USB, HDMI, PCIe, MIPI etc.)
● Technical breadth in at least two consumer electronic domains such as, power electronics, signal integrity, battery management, RF, Audio, sensors systems.
Preferred Qualifications
● Familiarity with VR/AR systems or wearable low-power or portable electronic devices..
● Experience programming in languages like Python/Java/C#/C++/C, creating initial system bring-up, debugging, and test scripts
● Experience defining and coordinating test procedures in a lab and factory environment to facilitate system bring-up and evaluation
● Experience designing full system prototypes independently
● Understanding of hardware system coexistence and interoperability tests.
