Job Purpose:
As a Class C Non-CDL Straight Truck Route Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and transportation team. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a Class C box truck to transport goods, ensuring timely and safe deliveries to our clients. You will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate delivery records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class C box truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Follow traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
- Load and unload cargo from the box truck, ensuring that it is secured properly.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments and inspect goods for any damage.
- Safely execute delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Use navigation systems or maps to find the most efficient routes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, delivery confirmations, and any other required documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisors to provide updates on delivery status.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the box truck.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner during deliveries.
- Address any customer inquiries or concerns related to the delivery.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to handle heavy or bulky items.
DRIVER QUALIFICATONS PER INSURANCE CARRIER
- Minimum Age 23 years
- Have no more than 1 preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Have no more than 3 moving violations in the previous three years
- No MAJOR Convictions last 5 years
- A minimum of 1-year verifiable commercial driving experience. A commercial vehicle is defined as a vehicle that as a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or gross combination weight rating (GCWR), or gross vehicle weight (GVW) or gross combination weight (GCW) of 10,001 pounds or more.
- Not enrolled in any SAP program within the last 5 years.
- Must possess a valid DOT medical card.
Core Skills/Background:
- Previous experience as a box straight truck driver or in a similar delivery role is often preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good verbal communication skills to interact with customers and communicate effectively with the team.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and adhere to delivery schedules.
- Pay attention to detail when loading and unloading cargo, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage.
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all traffic and safety regulations.

2. Level 2: Research and Report to manager
3. Level 3: Ideate, Research and Recommend to manager
4. Level 4: Recommend, Implement and Report with manager input
