Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center is a pioneering provider of care, education and hope for children with some of the most challenging medical complexities any person can face. Featuring the largest long term residential medical center of its kind in the United States.
In this role the Therapeutic Recreation Assistant assists the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in planning and implementation of recreational activities and programmatic events for the children in the Children’s Center.
This is a full time union/1199 position – Sunday - Thursday – 10:00am-6:00pm
Responsibilities will include:

Complete daily session attendance/statistics in the EMR

Assist in decorating of facility for holidays and events.

Assist in selection, planning and implementation of special events.

Maintain supplies in orderly manner. Assist in selection and ordering of supplies.

Attend all pertinent educational in services and neighborhood team meetings.

Assist CTRS with implementation of individual and group activities.

Provide individual activities as assigned by neighborhood CTRS.

Keep neighborhood CTRS informed on all resident participation and response to individual and group activities.

Maintain and be able to have a flexible schedule

Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the neighborhood CTRS, Chief Rehabilitation Officer and/or Vice President of Operations.

High School Diploma; Associate degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Health Related Field preferred
Experience:

2 years of related experience; experience with pediatric population preferred
Salary Range:
$22.80/Hr. To $24.97/Hr.
