SUPPORT STAFF – Host/Hostess
LOCATION: Waunakee
REPORTING TO: General Manager
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time (20-25 hours per week)
JOB SUMMARY
Buck & Honey's is looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team! Candidates should have availability from 11-3, or from 4-8 Mon-Fri, along with availability to work at least one weekend shift.
* Applicants must be 16 years of age to be considered for the position.
A Buck & Honey's support staff member will assist servers and bartenders to create a unique and memorable experience for guests. Support staff may have various roles: host, busser, food runner, and dock hand. Our support staff delivers the art of hospitality with an enthusiastic and friendly attitude using a personal style and unique personality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Interactions
- Acts in a positive manner with coworkers, guests, and public.
- Answers phones (hosts, dock hands), takes reservations and take-out orders.
- Busses tables.
- Warmly greet all guests, and lead them the their table
- Act as a teammate to all coworkers.
Housekeeping
- Maintains immaculate cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.
- Performs restroom checks on an hourly basis, ensuring proper levels of supplies (paper towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.).

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Primarily active work, spending hours standing and walking, exerting up to 25-40 lbs. of force.
- See at a distance (20 feet), at close range (12 inches) and distinguish between shapes and utilize peripheral vision to avoid potential hazards.
- Hear so that verbal communications can be received, understood, and acted upon.
- Read, write, and perform addition/subtraction calculations.
- Bend, handle, carry, lift, reach, wipe, climb and stoop.
- Walk and stand for up to eight (8) hours.
- Primary working position is standing and walking with occasional stooping, crouching, and kneeling; occasional reaching, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, typing, grasping, talking, speaking clearly, hearing and seeing.
- Moderate to loud noise level consistent with a restaurant environment. Outside environmental factors during the summer season.
