Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all machinery, equipment, and facilities at 321 Plastics. This role requires a versatile individual with skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will assist the fabrication department in creating fixtures and tables for assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machinery Maintenance:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on all machines, including but not limited to SCM Panel saw, 2 Tork CNC machines, 2 air compressors, 1 edge polisher, various semi-auto tape machines, paper dispensers, and forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with machinery.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Building and Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct basic repairs and maintenance throughout the facility, such as patching broken concrete floors and changing light bulbs.
- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Maintain the grounds around the facility, including landscaping and exterior building upkeep.
- Fabrication Support:
- Assist the fabrication department with creating fixtures and tables for assembly.
- Collaborate with fabrication team members to design and build custom solutions to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the operations and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide support and training to other staff members on equipment usage and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge and skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of machinery such as CNC machines, air compressors, and forklifts.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoors.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position with standard hours from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Availability for occasional overtime and emergency call-outs as needed.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
