Behavior Intervention Specialist
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Assist individuals in developing and enhancing their daily living skills
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective strategies
- Conduct crisis management and intervention as needed
- Administer medication in accordance with medical documentation and protocols
Skills:
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Knowledge of PTSD care and trauma-informed approaches
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions
- Familiarity with social work practices and resources
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Competence in crisis intervention techniques
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in crisis management strategies
