A CNC machining supervisor manages and oversees all manufacturing processes for their department. The supervisor role assigns tasks to the CNC team and ensures that CNC Lathes and Mills are set-up and operating efficiently to produce quality precision parts. They will contribute to high levels of safety, quality, and production efficiency. The machinist supervisor will collaborate and communicate with other departments efficiently and often.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review product specifications, and plans production process, including the correct tools and materials for the job and sequence of steps to follow in the production. Ability to create or update SOPs as needed.
- Perform machining operations, watching for problems in the production process and checking the accuracy of their assigned team members’ finished products against drawings using calibrated measuring tools.
- Responsible for the CNC Production team’s performance by providing training, direction, and daily feedback. Assisting with problem solving, adjustments and set-ups and enforcing safety, quality, and company policy.
- Assist with the management and planning of production for maximum efficiency.
- Maintains workflow by monitoring the manufacturing process and striving for continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve machine issues.
- Assist with repairs when applicable and assist in sourcing vendors for repairs.
- Responsible for good housekeeping and maintaining department cleanliness.
- Able to effectively communicate with co-workers and outside tooling companies, etc.
- Other duties as needed where skills match (assembly, maintenance, tooling).
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years CNC experience with 3 years successfully leading teams in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with Mastercam.
Proven skills for setup and operation ability of CNC Mills, Lathes, and other machines.
Highly organized, detailed oriented and have critical thinking and troubleshooting skills used in completing tasks.
Strong communication skills with a high degree of interpersonal skills.

Pay: $83,200.00 - $93,600.00 per year
