D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Assistant Customer Service Technician for Construction. Some requests will be handled individually while other requests will require assistance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine if they are warrantable items
Process written or electronic work orders and/or verbal instructions from Customer Service Technician for homeowner repairs
Perform necessary repairs to homes such as carpentry work, drywall, texture repair and painting
Assists Customer Service Technician in scheduling and managing subcontractors to make designated warranty repairs
Certifies warranty work is completed within contractor obligations
Follow up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Develops and maintains good rapport with subcontractors and homeowners
Incorporate by learning, the need for conformity in construction methods within the company, support company policies and constructions standards
Maintain all appointments and deadlines are met in the absence of the Customer Service Technician
Assist in the homeowner’s education regarding routine homeowner maintenance
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a reliable vehicle capable of carrying supplies, a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally
Ability to utilize DRH Warranty applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop
Prior customer service experience a plus
Bi-lingual preferred
