Position Details:
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in our clinic by providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting pediatricians during examinations, procedures, and in clinic treatments.
- Taking and recording vital signs, documenting patient medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Prepares for patient appointments in the mornings by reviewing patient charts, immunization records, and other clinical data and ensures that the patient medical record remains accurate and up-to-date.
- Completing vision and hearing screeners as per age specific guidelines
- Performing basic laboratory tests such as hemoglobin levels, urinalysis, rapid strep and rapid influenza swabs. Prepares specimens and paperwork to be sent to external lab and records results accurately.
- Administering medications and vaccines.
- Using the WA State Immunization Information System (WAIIS) to maintain immunization records up to date.
- Prepares, sanitizes and stocks exam rooms before the day and in between patients.
- Check and documents work station and maintains vaccine refrigerator and freezer temperatures according to vaccine program temperature ranges and schedules.
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Assisting with additional medical office duties.
- Reports to: Nurse Manager
Requirements:
- Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification license.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish / English is desired but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- 1 year experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary commensurate with experience.
