Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the retail store.
Duties:
- Manage and maintain stock levels to meet customer demand
- Oversee team management, providing guidance and support to staff
- Implement effective sales management strategies to drive revenue
- Conduct inventory management to optimize stock levels and minimize losses
- Perform clerk duties as needed, including cashiering and customer service
- Utilize strong math skills for retail calculations and financial transactions
- Conduct employee orientation and training sessions
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a retail environment with a focus on managing operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Proficiency in inventory management and sales techniques
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and staff
- Sound knowledge of retail math principles for accurate calculations
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in inventory control or stock management
- Familiarity with recruiting processes and employee development strategies
