JOB TITLE: LEAD TEACHER
REPORT TO: PROGRAM DIRECTOR
DEPARTMENT: EDUCATION
POSITION SUMMARY: The Teacher is a highly interactive role responsible for the care and education of children. The Teacher supervises and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times. Plans curriculum for the children in the classroom that is developmentally appropriate and helps children develop physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially. The Teacher is responsible for implement the daily program.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Associates’ Degree from an accredited college in early childhood education, CDA or
60 college credits in child development. Must hold and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Must have minimum of 1 year experience in preschool education (as shown by a positive reference from a former employer supervisor in the preschool education field).
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to hear and speak in a manner understood by most persons❖ Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stoop and bend; must be able to lift and transfer children

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides education and nurturing environment for children. Develop, plan and implement lesson plans to children of all ages and responsible for the following activities, which includes but not limited to:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Develop, plan and implement classroom activities.
- Plan educational field trips to develop cultural interest for children.
- Ensure children are clean and tidy upon parent’s arrival for pickup.
- Attend in-service trainings per OSSE regulations.
- Maintain a physical environment that conforms to governmental and agency standards of safety and cleanliness, which is conducive to optimal growth and development of the child.
- Documents and maintains child safety according to regulatory standards.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,520.00 - $66,735.00 per year
