Job Title: Ops Manager
Reports to: Regional Vice President.
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer or Regional Vice President, the Operations Manager will oversee and assist in managing all aspects of the company’s operations for all accounts in New York.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
- Handle management and administration of payroll & billing systems. Work with payroll/billing maintenance.
- Primary responsibility for reviewing scheduling, payroll & staffing of all locations.
- Conduct interviewing & hiring to standards. Knowledge of legal aspects of HR required. Manage open positions, cross-training and overtime. Assist with the maintenance of a flex/rover pool and assist with mentoring managers and supervisors. Conduct interviewing & hiring to standards.
- Assist in Preparation & editing SOP Manuals, Read Files, Post Orders, and site documentation. Keep all files current.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports on all aspects of the Branch Operations: track employee evaluations, inspections & audits, serious incident reporting & investigations, financial reporting, trending, action plans.
- Coordinate/ track all Branch uniform supplies and needs. Assist in maintenance and ordering for uniform programs. Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies including cellphones, Trak Tik systems purchasing and monitoring utilization as well as vehicles utilized at the accounts, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists
- Process various reports to monitor operational progress, spot any potential problems or trends to assist the management team with improving operations and/or customer partnerships.
- Support/ Assist in all aspects of interview, training, outfitting and on-boarding process for the Branch.
- Provide remote and in person training of officers for new hire, pre-placement and on the job training.
- Assist with Field Operations as needed with regards to client relations, special assignments.
- Assist in Coordination of Branch flex/rover staff pools and schedules.
- Assist with onsite new Client startups, as needed
- Have the ability to assume any subordinates position, including standing post, if necessary, for all positions except armed positions, unless properly certified as and armed officer.
- Mentor and support managers and supervisors. Work with the Regional Vice President and Human Resources as needed on all employee relations situations and concerns
- Assist with training of new officer’s supervisors and managers with regards to Branch operations. New Hire Training, Winteam, Trak Tik Tour systems, etc.as needed.
- Provide emergency response and operational support, as required.
- Randomly check client sites, posts and officers to ensure they are properly performing their duties, are in compliance with all GSG polices and have the knowledge and skills necessary to complete their assigned duties.
- Maintain Client Relations for assigned clients within their Branch.
- Perform all other functions and duties as required or assigned by GSG and/or the Client.
- Must be able to multi-task and self-manage in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to deal professionally in stressful situations with a high degree of conflict management & resolution skills.
- Must be knowledgeable of all GSG policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective relationships with all levels of the company and client organizations.
- Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards.
- Implement and enforce all safety rules and procedures as established by GSG Protective Services and post specific orders.
- Perform all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
- Practice all safety rules and procedures, always, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Use computer, cloud and smart phone-based systems to conduct a variety of activities including completion of complicated and complex reports.
- Additional tasks and duties will be assigned as necessary by GSG Protective Services.
Requirements
The Ops Manager has the following requirements:
- 24 years of age for Drivers Authorization
- Proficient in computer and smart phone usage
- Documents that establish identity
- Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S
- Associates Degree or higher
- 5 Years Security or Related Experience
- 1 Year Scheduling Experience with a minimum of 700 weekly hours
- 4 years of progressively responsible supervisory/management experience in the security industry.
- Good driving Record that meets the requirements as set by the GSG Driver Authorization Policy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Meet all requirements as required in the GSG Driver & Weapons Authorization Policy.
Special Requirement
- Maintain valid registration as a security guard throughout employment.
- Maintain valid driver license in good standing and continue to meet all requirements of the GSG Driver Authorization Policy.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 7 years security or related experience
