The Resident Care Aide AM/PM is responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration, and other healthcare-related tasks to residents in a senior living community. The Resident Care Aide AM/PM works under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Administer medications as prescribed by a licensed nurse
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report any concerns to the licensed nurse
- Assist with meal service and clean-up
- Document care provided in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Participate in resident care conferences and other meetings as required
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
- Experience working with seniors preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with resident transfers
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
The Resident Care Aide AM/PM works in a senior living community and may be exposed to infectious diseases, unpleasant odors, and challenging behaviors. The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time.
