About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the organization's servers, operating systems, and related infrastructure. You will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our systems to meet the company's needs.Responsibilities:
- Install and configure servers, operating systems, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
- Manage virtualized environments, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and potential breaches.
- Conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity.
- Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security.
- Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve system issues promptly.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT professionals.
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of system and network administration, including Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience in security best practices and implementing security measures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Server+, etc.) are advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
