Overview
The Clinical Informatics Specialist supports enterprise-wide Information Technology implementations in clinical settings. This individual applies clinical and informatics knowledge (technical and process) to implement new clinical systems. Along with subject matter experts, the Clinical Informatics Specialist works closely with team members to optimize care supported by clinical information systems. He/she actively participates in process analysis, redesign, communication, education and clinician support with deployment of new functionality. The Clinical Informatics Specialist is passionate about care transformation and understands clinical workflows and electronic order entry management in a hospital environment.
The qualified candidate possesses the following:
A. Education
1. Graduate of an accredited school of registered professional nursing
B. Experience
1. Minimum of three years experience as a staff nurse
Licensure/Certification:
1. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia
