CONTROLS ENGINEER
eMagin, a Samsung Display company, is the leading manufacturer of active-matrix Organic LED (AM-OLED) micro displays on Silicon. ONSITE ONLY (no remote work)
The controls engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems to regulate and manage the behavior of eMagin’s OLED manufacturing equipment. The role of a controls engineer includes Leading engineering and automation teams through concept planning, configuration, and development; testing and troubleshooting various mechanical and electrical systems; providing technical support and instruction to organization members; creating equipment and systems that help a machine run smoothly; repairing any malfunctions found within the machines.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in computer/electrical engineering or equivalent required.
· Recommended 8+ years of related experience as controls engineer for manufacturing equipment (semiconductor industry preferred).
· Experience with user application development and troubleshooting.
· PLC programming experience; HMI design experience.
· Experience using MS Visual Studio and coding in Visual Basic.
· Knowledge of common industrial networks (MODBUS, EtherCat, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet.)
· Knowledge of VFDs, servos and common system interfaces (CIP, Field buses.)
· Ability to interpret manufacturers data sheets for edge components; ability to create and read Process & Instrumentation drawings (P&IDs.)
· Working knowledge of MS Access and database structure; working knowledge of software validation techniques and troubleshooting
· Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills.
· Sound communication skills, verbal, written and the ability to listen effectively.
· Great organizational skills.
· Experience with Raspberry Pi, Microchip PIC, Python, LabVIEW is a plus.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
