Shift: Monday, Thursday, & Friday: 6 am- 6pm, and Wednesday: 9:30 am-4:00 pm
Security Officer as a member of EHSS Department are responsible for the protection of company employees, property and assets by monitoring CCTV, Access Control, dispatch systems and physical surveillance. They will answer all security related telephone calls and report incidents involving employees, product and company assets. Officers will work with Human Resources and Legal departments to enforce all company policies and procedures. Work schedules and hours ore flexible and subject to change at any time!

- Patrol parking lots and facility to monitor foot and vehicle traffic and enforce parking policies
- Safety Inspections, including but not limited to inspecting the facility and reporting hazards
- Prepare all incident reports, including and not limited to Safety Observations, near misses, security incidents, and safety findings
- Manage and Operate Weapons Scanning Technology
- Respond to incidents for assistance from departments throughout the company
- Investigate incidents that may include, theft, under the influence etc., against company, people, and property
- Responsible for drug and alcohol testing at the facility
- This position requires the use of professional communication skills while greeting and giving directions to employees, customers, vendors, and guests; issuance of visitor badges and enforcing the Corporate Identification Badge procedure
- Respond to burglary and fire alarm calls on campus while communicating with emergency services.
- Respond and provide medical assistance to all medical emergencies and/or administer First Aid/CPR
- Assist emergency responders when required
- And other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred 1-2 years security experience.
- A professional demeanor and excellent communication skills are required to effectively interact with all levels of company personnel and outside contacts. The ability to diplomatically resolve potentially disruptive situations is essential.
- The ability to produce accurate, concise, and detailed reports that can withstand review by the highest levels of company personnel and various legal authorities is essential.
- The ability to prioritize responsibilities and maintain composure while dealing with frequent distractions is required. Multi-tasking is a must.
- Must be able to work a variable schedule with possible overtime.
- A working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft applications is required.
- This position is security and safety sensitive. If offered the position, candidate will need to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Physical requirements include continuous walking per shift, frequent running (emergencies), working in hot and cold environments, frequent climbing, occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs.),and frequent bending.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
