Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Provide specialized care such as catheterization, tube feeding procedures, wound care, and dressing changes
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement comprehensive patient care plans
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure meticulous documentation of patient information
- Educate patients and families on healthcare procedures and disease management strategies
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, laws, and healthcare policies
Requirements:
- Experience in home community care, infant care, botulinum toxin treatment, ICD-9 coding, neonatal ventilator management, pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), patient care practices, and Athenahealth software is preferred
- Proficiency in handling various medical procedures including inhalation therapy
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving patients when necessary
