Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age
- Adhere to all food safety and beverage handling procedures
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant, banquet, or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails and pouring drinks
- Familiarity with retail math for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Excellent sales skills to upsell and promote drink specials or menu items
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of alcoholic beverages
- Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the respective location)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy items (e.g., kegs, cases of liquor)
