Description:
The Asset Engineer is an entry level engineering position that will be exposed to engineering tasks and projects of increasing responsibility. The role requires a motivated individual with the ability to communicate across disciplines at multiple levels of the organization ranging from front line employees to senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop automated asset performance dashboards based on organizational KPIs and workflows
- Initiate optimization projects and systems to improve the organizations analytical capabilities including incorporation of economic and environmental impacts
- Work with engineering and operations to evaluate recurring reliability issues and manage implementation of identified solutions
- Assist in development of technical bids and contractor evaluations
- Prepare budgetary estimates and written scopes of work to support completion of identified optimization, maintenance, or growth projects
- Actively participate in Process Safety Management systems and processes including Management of Change and Process Hazard Analysis
- Provide regular leadership reports and updates including cost and schedule of owned initiatives
- Gain an understanding of midstream operations and engineering including gathering, compression, treating, and dehydration
- Attend process and hydraulic simulation tool trainings
- Work with key technical industry standard documentation including process and instrumentation diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, consequences of deviation, piping isometrics, weld maps, plot plans, electrical classification diagrams, etc.
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Transcript required)
- 0-3 years of industry related work experience
- Capacity to learn quickly, adapt & manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication with all levels of organization, internal and external
- Proficient in MS office Suite with emphasis on Excel
- Able to sit for extended periods throughout the day
