Summary/Objective:
Oversee all phases of site construction, house construction, and warranty for all assigned projects. Assures that homes are built on schedule, within budget, in accordance with the approved building blueprints and codes, and meets our quality and safety standards.
Essential Job Duties:

Provides forward planning functions such as cost estimates, coordination with consultants, utilities, and building and planning departments.

Confers with other departmental personnel, contractors, the public, and others to expedite completion of work and acceptance by the appropriate agencies.

Creates initial cycle-time construction schedules for each new product line.

Establishes and monitors quality standards.

Establishes and monitors project safety and cleanliness standards.

Supervises field personnel and their individual performances.

Monitors subcontractors and field personnel to the highest possible load of production and quality.

Ensures that all plan changes are coordinated proactively during the time of model construction.

Ensures that all plan/scope changes are documented and coordinated between construction management and purchasing.

Intervenes with subcontractor issues.

Organizes and attends pre-construction meetings.

Achieve high level of customer satisfaction.

Reviews all monthly project budgets.

Monitors and analyzes variances so that the causes of variances are identified and reduced/eliminated.

Continually works with the warranty group to reduce/eliminate recurring warranty items resulting from either poor materials or poor installation methods.

Recruits and trains field personnel as needed.
Requirements:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High School education or above.
-
6+ years of management experience.
-
10+ years of construction knowledge.

A comprehensive knowledge of reading construction plans and drawings.

MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and standard office equipment.

Is required to be on their feet for 5-7 hours per day, must be able to lift 25-50 pounds, will require walking the job site throughout the day, will need to stand, kneel, balance, climb ladders/scaffolding.
