Job Summary:
Join our team as a Training & Development Coordinator, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department. As a key member of our team, you will serve as the primary trainer for the Chehalis Tribe and employees. you will be responsible for improving the productivity of the tribe's employees. This position assesses tribal-wide employee developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively researches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize performance. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining training records for employees throughout the tribal government and departments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate HR programs effectively, including program management, training development, and classroom facilitation.
A. Manages and conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
B. Proposes and implements training and development programs and objectives.
C. Develops and monitors training and development spending against the departmental budget.
D. Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
E. Trains and coaches’ Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts.
F. Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
G. Develops and maintains organizational communications such as emails and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
H. Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
I. Modifies programs as needed.
J. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the Tribe.
K. Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
L. Actively participates in departmental staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
M. Effective and operational knowledge of daily HR functions, applicable laws and regulations.
N. Maintain an active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources and Learning and Development networks, organizations, and leaders.
O. Performs related work as required.
P. May be assigned duties under the Chehalis Tribe Emergency Management Plan and Program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- Five years proven experience in program management, training development, and/or facilitation required.
- Familiarity with performance management practices and methodologies.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Experience in classroom facilitation and mentoring is a plus.

Pay: $34.77 - $43.46 per hour
