Deli Assistant Manager’s main responsibilities are:
- Manage the Deli department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
- Assist with hiring, employee relations issues, employee reviews and disciplinary action.
- Effectively train and coach employees in meeting the department/company standards.
- Assign, direct and monitor employees' tasks and ensure all tasks are completed on a timely basis.
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must have Retail/Food Service Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Prior customer service experience required
- Two years supervisor or management experience required
- Deli background preferred
- Basic math skills and proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to multi-tasks and prioritize
- Food Handler’s permit
- Flexible schedule
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
