Position Summary: As the Manager of Instructional Design, you will create, lead, and oversee the design and development of Futuro Health’s online course modules in the Learning Management System (LMS).
Instructional Design:

Craft and build interactive course modules within the LMS platform (e.g., Canvas, Articulate 360).

Design visually engaging graphics and multimedia components for course materials.

Streamline content structure and optimize course navigation for user-friendly access.

Formulate assessments to gauge learning outcomes effectively.

Customize digital badges and certification outputs to suit specific requirements.

Knowledge and practical application of learner-centered design.

Formulate microlearning efforts tailored for adult learners, incorporating in-person and virtual components in collaboration with subject matter experts, developers, and external contractors.

Collaborate in pilot implementations of newly developed or redesigned programs to observe the learner experience and offer feedback.

Ensuring consistency across all materials and products is crucial when integrating revisions and updates to adhere to the Futuro Health branding.
Learning Management System Administration:

Configure, customize, and maintain the LMS to align with the organization's training and development needs.

Upload, organize, and maintain course content, ensuring it’s up-to-date and engaging.

Create and update eLearning courses, modules, and learning materials.
-
Provide training to administrators and users on LMS functionality.

Configure security and access using best practices.
-
Evaluate the effectiveness of the LMS and its alignment with organizational goals.
Leadership and Collaboration:

Oversee instructional design team.

Accurate scoping of project management to launch programs and courses within an agreed-upon time frame.

Work with domain subject matter experts to ensure the curriculum meets scholars where they are.

Engage in collaborative efforts with instructional design specialists, program managers, and subject matter experts to strategize, conceive, and construct interactive digital learning materials that adhere to adult learning principles.

Research and recommend emerging educational technologies as they become available.

Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the CLO and other senior leaders to align student services strategies with overall organizational objectives.
Resource Allocation: Manage budget effectively, allocating resources to optimize support services while aligning with financial goals.
Training and Professional Development: Develop and deliver training sessions to student services staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality student support.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports for the CLO and executive team, highlighting the achievements and impact of student services initiatives.
Advocacy and Support: Serve as a champion for students, advocating for their needs and collaborating with internal teams to address challenges and create a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in instructional design or adjacent careers. Healthcare experience is a plus.

Strong understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and workforce development.

Proven track record of program development, implementation, and assessment.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team of professionals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Data-driven mindset, proficient in data analytics to guide decision-making and measure program effectiveness.

Budget management experience, including resource allocation and financial stewardship.

Familiarity with healthcare education and workforce development is a plus.

Passion for Futuro Health's mission and commitment to advancing healthcare education.

Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), learning management systems (Canvas, Articulate 360), Power BI, Visio, Internet access, and databases.

Ability to standardize and document processes, including for training purposes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, business, marketing or related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
Work Environment/Travel:
This is a remote role. Travel will also be required to attend meetings and conferences.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role will have supervisory responsibility over other staff.
Physical Demands: Able to sit, stand, and type for long periods. Ability to work irregular hours, including after-hours and weekends, although this will be infrequent.
Position Type: This position is full-time. The hours may include weekends, nights, and holidays.
