This is for Dr. Stevens office.
Provides direct patient care as ordered and directed by physician, including administration of medications, performing diagnostic tests, completing referral authorization and instructing patient/client about treatment/work status. Performs drug screens. Maintains organization of clinical areas and restocks inventory as needed. Assists with all clinical/clerical tasks as needed to provide service excellence.
Contributes to the nursing assessment on assigned patients.
Assists in the implementation of the nursing care plan on assigned patients.
Communicates and documents patient care activities, needs and assessments.
Provides teaching and guidance to patients, significant other and staff members.
Evaluates the patient's response to intervention.
Contributes to nursing plan of care on assigned patients.
Coordinates patient care with internal departments and external agencies.
Must have a current Alabama LPN nursing license and graduated from accredited nursing program. Must have a current CPR by AHA or ARC
Must be able to perform venipuncture, spirometry, audiometry, EKGs, breathalyzers, and administer medication.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, positioning, quality assurance, must be able to: (1) perceive pertinent detail in objects; (2) make visual comparison and discriminations in shapes, shading of figures and widths and lengths of lines.|
Must maintain appropriate credentials and CPR certification
