American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for a Class A CDL Delivery Driver in Indianapolis IN. This position requires a Class A CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements.
Out of town routes requiring 3-4 overnight stays per week. Home all weekends. NO SLEEPERS! Hotel provided and evening meal per diem.
Responsibilities include loading, unloading, moving, and storing of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies, making deliveries to customers or other branches, and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
Duties:

Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.

Pick up returns at customer place of business.
-
Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
-
Comply with all DOT + OSHA Regulations.
-
Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
-
Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.

Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
-
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
High School graduate or equivalent.
-
Class A CDL Required with Hazmat Endorsement.
-
Clean commercial driving record 3+ years.
-
Able to read and write English.
-
Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).

Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company administered road test.

Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
