Child Link is looking for a strong-minded, highly motivated individual to provide Supervision for our Transitional Living Program and incorporate Child Links' mission.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Provide overall supervision to 2 Case Managers and 18 TLP trainers to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the operations of Transitional Living Program. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, program staffing and scheduling; curriculum development; and facilities management. Trains, evaluates, and supervises staff. Performs related work as required. Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Regarding staff & program:
· Oversee and supervise the activities of subordinate staff and volunteers; select, assign, train, direct, schedule and monitor staff duties; evaluate employee performance and initiate disciplinary actions when needed.
· Responsible for the appropriate training of employees in assigned areas of responsibility; plan and conduct in-service training programs; monitor status of required licenses and certifications; structure the evaluation and professional development of program staff to ensure a high performing team.
· Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations for pay increase/recognition.
· Develop, implement and recommend effective maintenance and safety programs, procedures and guidelines; conduct periodic inspections and ensure program facilities are properly maintained for optimal safety.
· Maintain records on program activities, attendance and other pertinent information; prepare a variety of operational and business reports, and associated correspondence.
· Participate in rotating on call schedule and act as a first responder
· Monitor TLP staff by reviewing their caseloads, service notes, communicating weekly with them and having monthly staff meetings.
· Provide monthly documented supervision to assigned workers including monitoring of service provision and documentation, case planning, and regular required case activity.
· Assure that all necessary events are covered, including court hearings, Administrative Case Reviews (ACRs), and case meetings.
Regarding clients:
· Participate in treatment meetings with TLP staff as needed and keep staff informed of changes regarding authorizations and documentation and act as first point of contact for clients.
· Provide monitoring and support in the development of appropriate services for individual clients.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
· Master’s Degree from an Accredited School of Social Work, or an equivalent human services area. At least two years' experience in Child Welfare, foster care.
· CWL required (DCFS tests for the Child Care Act, Licensing Standards, and the Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol).
· At least 1 year of experience in case management, preferably in Child Welfare, and foster care.
