Job Overview:
We are experiencing tremendous growth in our patient base, and we are looking for a proficient General Dentist to join our busy practice. We are seeking to fill part-time positions that will hopefully turn into full-time positions in our DC office; offices open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - work schedules are negotiable. Any experience level will be considered - must be goal-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, and a motivated team player – must possess effective communication skills and a positive attitude. Must be willing to work with children.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including restorative, preventive, and cosmetic procedures
- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns
- Conduct routine dental cleanings and provide preventive care to maintain optimal oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental record systems (Softdent)
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Dentist with a strong clinical background
- Proficient in performing a wide range of dental procedures including restorative, preventive, endodontic, periodontal, and prosthodontic treatments
- Knowledge of dental software systems (Softdent) for accurate record keeping
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions and crown fabrication
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, oral pathology, and treatment planning principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex dental procedures to patients in a clear and concise manner
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
