What to expect in a day at a cockroach farm:
- Feeding and assessing bugs. Responsibilities for care of bugs (dubia roaches) would include lifting and lowering 30 gallon plastic totes (10lbs-30lbs) and making quick visual assessments of colonies to ensure the general health and well being of them.
- Sorting bugs for sale or inventory. Responsibilities include separating bug colonies by identifying and sorting males, females and juveniles with the assistance of a separator bin, finding production rates using a calculator, recording data such as production and survival numbers.
Who we are looking for to hire:
Searching for a positive individual that enjoys animals and is willing to work with bugs, specifically Dubia Roaches (Blaptica dubia)! At this time, we are looking to hire someone full time. This is a Monday through Friday position. Must have a positive attitude and be able to handle dubia roaches (gloves provided by employer.)
