We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX.
Title: Senior Controls Automation Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Salary: $110k-$115k+ base and up depending on experience, education, etc.
Summary
Reporting to the Director of Plant Services, this person will hold a key position in Plant Engineering Department and ensure that all the maintenance and project activities are carried out in strict accordance with established technical standards with proper consideration to safety, quality and reliability.
The Sr. Controls Automation Engineer makes a direct contribution to achieve plant goals of increasing productivity, ensure safety of equipment and manpower, reduce maintenance cost, increased equipment availability and improved asset reliability. This is accomplished by proper project planning, ensuring integrity of documentation, maintaining standards and technical discipline in maintenance activity, leading troubleshooting efforts for major maintenance issues and provide a roadmap for maintenance, design and review of improvement projects, coordinating with other departments and controlling the factor influencing the performance of assets.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics /Automation engineering.

Must have strong background in Electrical, Automation ,PLC and Control, Hydraulic & Pneumatics System Design, Electrical and Control systems upkeep and troubleshooting, High Voltage Electrical maintenance, Electrical Safety and overall machine troubleshooting .

5+ years of Automation Controls Engineering Experience.

Knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens & Fanuc systems ideally

Knowledge of Project Management.
Plus but not Required:

Good Computer Knowledge of MS Office Suit, MS Projects, ACAD & SolidWorks.

Knowledge of Archiving system.

Experience in Forging Facility maintenance is a bonus but not required

Knowledge of CMMS-Emaint

Knowledge and experience in electrical engineering /PLC controllers and programmable logic\

Knowledge of Furnace combustion control and experience with Eurothem -Review/Bridge/TUS/ Knowledge of /Pyrometry/System Accuracy Tests & Temperature Uniformity Surveys
