RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct patient interviews, collect pertinent test results, and ensure examination/procedure rooms are properly prepared.
- Aid in procedures and minor surgeries while accurately transcribing physician assessments.
- Facilitate post-examination tasks such as ordering tests, electronically prescribing medications, and delivering pre/post-operative instructions as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians to review test results and address patient concerns, promptly prioritizing follow-up phone calls.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to foster meaningful connections with both patients and colleagues.
- Excel in a fast-paced environment, paying close attention to detail and maintaining organizational efficiency.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA guidelines and a commitment to upholding patient and practice confidentiality.
- Comfortable working with both paper and digital Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
