Electrician to install conduits for fire alarm and low voltage wiring. The applicant needs to be an expert with running conduits.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of fire alarm equipment, including smoke detectors, pull stations, horn strobe, speaker strobes
- Installation of disconnect switches, electrical wiring and ground wiring
- Installation of cameras, cable, and conduit.
- Run and mount conduits, pipe bending skills 1/2" to 1" pipe
- Understanding and application of NYC Building codes local electrical codes, (NEC)
- Ability to function in a self-directed environment
- Effective use of hand tools (meter, toner, etc.)
- Understanding of basic electronics and electrical theories and principles (Ohm’s Law, AC/DC, etc.)
- Ability to demonstrate the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and related equipment required
- Knowledge of proper grounding and bonding methods
- Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Must be very reliable and responsible
- Maintain all company property and supplies, including but not limited to tools, equipment, parts and documentation.
Requirements:
- Must have experience with installing and bending conduit
- Ability working on ladders
- Ability to use power tools
- OSHA 10 certification
- Drivers license
