Registered Nurse Med/Surg - Full Time
Assumes full nursing responsibility for the delivery of care to all patients on designated units. Promotes self competency. Continuously evaluates personal and individual performance and makes necessary changes to increase productivity and quality of care delivered. Adheres to and supports the policies/procedures and goals/objectives of MRMC in an attempt to provide quality patient care. Strives for independence and strong, sound decision making in delivery of health care and does so in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality of care and techniques. Constantly conscious of role in providing coverage for the units and assisting nursing/hospital administration in supporting and upholding the standards of care and policies/procedures set forth. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Responsibility of the RN must include leadership responsibilities to handle patient issues, interdepartmental issues, as well as nurse to nurse issues.
Current RN licensure in the state of Louisiana. Current BLS. Strongly recommended ACLS and PALS.
Possesses good written and verbal communication skills; able to work with limited supervision; able to supervise work and delegate work as needed to other staff; able to work under physical and mental stress at times. Communicates in a clear and understandable manner appropriate to the age/developmental stage of the patient or visitor. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills. Sound knowledge base of general nursing theory and practice (if in special care unit-major emphasis on caring for the critically ill patient)
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
