We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to oversee our engineering team enabling Merchandise Planning and Selection. Helping Customers feel good and look their best, starts with a creating an assortment that resonates with customers while ensuring we stay relevant as a fashion authority. Our Product Selection represents a significant investment and has a material impact on business results. Our ability to accurately Plan that investment and create compelling assortment is critical.
This role requires a blend of technical prowess, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of retail merchandise dynamics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative tech solutions that improve customer experience, optimize merchandise assortment, streamline operations and drive overall business outcomes.

Drives organizational structures and talent management plans to meet needs of organization
Identifies and develops leaders, builds teams
Has ownership and accountability over creating new systems, partnering with 3rd party software providers and evolving existing systems
Drives architectural decisions for function and enterprise
Define and articulate the strategic vision and drive alignment with the companys goals and market opportunities.
Partner with business leaders to provide technical advice and influence strategic decision making; collect requirements, map to implementation and select the right technology
Utilize strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to navigate complex technology landscapes
You own this if you have…
10+ years of relevant work experience in Technology
5+ years of experience in enterprise team leadership in dynamic, high-scale environments.
5+ years and excellent proficiency in vendor integration and tools support.
5+ years leading and developing teams (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
A proven track record of individual excellence and a demonstrated commitment to making others great. You are intimately familiar with modern software development practices but lean on collaboration in addition to process to drive outcomes.
Strong customer and stakeholder empathy. You must be not only the voice of the customer. You must be able to channel many points of view, synthesize them and drive alignment even in times of friction and disagreement.
Experience working with 3rd party software providers to create business value
Strong negotiating and influencing skills
Strong Leadership and team management skills.
Strong technical background with experience in software development and web technologies.
Experience with agile development methodologies and working with agile teams.
Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $200,500 - $332,000 Annually
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
